Goals
Keram Design is a store with more than 1000 collections of bathroom tiles, floor tiles and porcelain tiles. The store exists only in offline format. In 2021, the management decided to enter the online market and attract new customers.
Challenges
To fit thousands of ceramic collections into one catalog, while maintaining the ability to quickly search for the right tile is an interesting challenge. To make it easier for users to navigate the site, my team and I went to the showroom and asked customers what criteria are important to them when choosing tiles for their home.
Solution
Among the business objectives for the client, sales growth was highlighted. Therefore, the website should be a convenient and understandable tool for its visitors. After a survey of users in the store, we identified important criteria for choosing tiles and created a convenient catalog with filters by area, price, purpose and finish, simplified communication between the manager and the client by introducing several points of interaction and made it possible to search the database by collection, color and dozens of other filters. At the same time, a query can be entered in any form convenient for the client, and the database is designed in such a way as to produce the most relevant results.
The site is not overloaded with graphics, all the emphasis is given to the appearance of collections of ceramics, so that nothing distracted the visitor from the choice of his ideal tile.
As a result, we created a website that in the first weeks after launch brings 30% of all tile order requests. We made a functional product card and easy search, paying considerable attention to the content component, so that when choosing tiles, a visitor to the site would feel as comfortable as if he had come to an offline store.
